Tell Us A Bit About Yourself Here & How You Became Interested in Paranormal Stuff

I'll go first!

My name is Joe Clark. I'm from Northeastern Kentucky.

I've pretty much been interested in the paranormal since I was a small child. But I didn't have my first paranormal experience until 1993. That experience put me on a journey to find answers.

I am the founder of Commonwealth Paranormal.

I've investigated some of the most haunted and most prestigious places as well as numerous residences in the Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, and West Virginia areas. I've also worked with the Paranormal Research Society (Paranormal State) and on nationally known paranormal cases.

Prior to Commonwealth Paranormal, I  was the Co-Founder of the Appalachian Paranormal Research Society. I  then moved on to serve on the management team of an area TAPS family Group, the Kentucky Shadow Chasers. I also served as the Public Relations Manager / Media Consultant for the Kentucky Shadow Chasers.

I've been featured in American Profile Magazine, in countless newspapers, on numerous radio shows & podcasts, WKRC TV 12 Newscast, WLEX Channel 18 newscast,  in the television special "Haunted Van Lear", and have filmed for A & E Television.

Even though I had been investigating for years and had a successful career as an investigator, I  was still seeking knowledge. So in 2009 I decided to attend a Ghost Hunter  Certification class. And after attending hours of classroom instruction,  hands on training , and successfully passing an examination, I was awarded the title of "Certified Ghost Hunter" by Ghost Chasers International.

I have been nominated for numerous paranormal awards, including  "Best National Paranormal Investigator."  And my  group, Commonwealth Paranormal was nominated for "Best National Paranormal Group." In September 2009, I was named one of the top 20 Paranormal Investigators in the world by the Para-X Network ! In 2012, I was voted one of the Top 5 Male Paranormal Investigators in the world.

I am the author of "The Life & Times of a Paranormal Investigator" and "It Will Be Back: The Dangers of Paranormal Investigating"

Thanks for joining and the introduction Joe. I've been interested in the paranormal for as long as I can remember. I suppose it started with ghost stories told by my family, friends moving things with thier mind and more recently two UFO experiences.

Nice to meet you Joe. I have also been searching for truth since a small child. I have not achieved your level of accomplishments, but have considered enduring the path. Recently I started looking at ways to move forward, any recommendations??

Recommendations?  I'm probably not the best person to ask for those; but probably the best pieces of advice I can give would be :  1) Stay true to yourself and to the field.  Don't sell out for the entertainment side of the paranormal . I turn down television offers all the time because I refuse to stage or create stuff. My credibility is more important to me than 15 minutes of fame.  2) Be a sponge for knowledge. Read, study, take classes - anytime an opportunity to learn arises, take advantage of it.

Hi, i've always been interested in cryptids and i lived near many haunted locations growing up.
i also researched a lot into secret societies and that tends to heavily intersect with the paranormal. I have one favorite theory about all of them that so far hasnt been disproved so i am pretty biased towards it lmao

hiya !! i got into this stuff originally from a freakout after alot of like.. episodes?? im not sure what to call them, but it was definitely some sorta episode where i was convinced there was something either in my room or waiting for me to leave it, so i learned everything i could about stuff like that n now that im back in my body its genuinely sick n im looking forward to learning more about it.

ive also always been sorta interested in death, and im a taxidermist n collector of taxidermy.

i WOULD be into horror stuff, but i started out watching tusk and it put me into another episode that lasted hours n scared me away from stuff like that lmfao

sorry if this came across as venty or whatever, not my intention if it did lol

nice to meet ya joe! i've been interested in murders and quite strange- unexplainable events. I am no person who believes in god at all. but for some reason i still will believe there's something such as a different being. for example; ghosts. I got into ghosts when i was 6-10. I always read about them, talked about them, and looked for them.

I never told anyone i believed in them that had information about my ACTUAL life. but, since im here, its nice to meet you people!!
