Cardiacs! And the "weird side of prog/new wave" more generally

My favourite band is Cardiacs, this band from England that started in the '80s, who were very inspired by "art punk"/new wave groups like XTC, DEVO, Split Enz, and Oingo Boingo as well as avant-prog groups like Henry Cow, Art Bears, and progressive rock groups like Van der Graaf Generator and Gentle Giant. They were a big influence on groups ranging from Napalm Death and TooL to Blur and Radiohead to J. G. Thirlwell from Foetus and The Venture Bros. fame.
