Georgia Guidestones

More on the "conspiracy" aspect of things. What is everyone's thoughts on them? The construction was supposedly funded by an anonymous contributor and completed in 1980. I know some people maintain that it parallels the NWO agenda. For example I remember seeing something about how someone vandalized them, expressing contempt for the NWO. I haven't studied them in great detail but at first glance it doesn't necessarily give me a warm cozy feeling. What do you think?

The history channel just aired an episode about them, and while I wish I could say I could speak further on them, I can't at the moment.  Vacation starts at 8pm tomorrow, so Lyrian, I think you have officially given me a task worthy of my nonwork attention... I will follow up over the weekend.

I feel that our shared "epidemic" is an attempt to adhere to the stones. With the right kinda eyes, you could see how it could work. I hope not. I'm thinking up a post on this now. It's gonna be ugly. :)

I'm willing to bet I have a similar view. Yes it gets ugly.

So I googled the guidestones and in the wiki, it notes that:

One interpretation of the stones is that they describe the basic concepts required to rebuild a devastated civilization.[2] Author Brad Meltzer notes that the stones were built in 1979 at the height of the Cold War, and thus argues that they may have been intended as a message to the possible survivors of a nuclear World War III. The engraved suggestion to keep humanity's population below 500 million could have been made under the assumption that war had already reduced humanity below this number.[11]

That brought me to the realization that the cold war wasn't all that long ago. When I think Cold War I think a generation or 2 before me, but I was 7 when it ended in 1991...

Hmmm I don't know if I buy that explanation. It kind of seems like he is grasping at straws. It also doesn't explain why it was done so secretly. That being said I guess it's possible but that I find it oddly specific on the population thing.

I attended a panel discussing the incident right after it happened. Honestly, I was sick during, so I wasn’t too attentive, but I think the take away was that it was unlikely the government since they would be required to rebuild the guide-stones or something… most likely a rogue asshole who just didn’t agree with the ideals.
