Who was Muffet talking about???????
When you fight Muffet (best boss fight in the game) she starts rambling on about how some shapeshifting being with a nice smile told her to kill you. Was that Mettaton? He says he paid monsters to kill you and all but since when does he shapeshift? Did he just casually switch in and out of his EX body like it was no big deal? maybe.

Maybe chara or gaster, but gaster im more aiming for because it looks like he is made out of goop so maybe he can shapeshift Idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What if, Mystery Man, [REDACTED], and His followers are all actually part of him? After all, it did say that he got split across time and space.

I don't think I've seen Muffet ever say that someone shapeshifted during all of my playthroughs of the game. I do believe it's Mettaton, though. Another thing, it couldn't be Gaster/MysteryMan because only in a specific FUN value does he appear, and if he does, he wouldn't be able to escape the gray, dank room he's forever trapped in. If he somehow DID, then he wouldn't have any money to pay Muffet with, especially within the time frame he's given. Sorry if this reply came off as rude. Btw this account is shared.
