i dont know if its that extreme but convulse is my number one deathmetal band.
blackmetal - vothana, or if you want to be exotic, wind of the black mountains - the shadow, is a really weird track but i dig it.
speedmetal/thrash - would prob be darkthrone or slayer cuz i dont listen to that stuff like at all :D
grindcore and such would maybe be iron monkey (i have no idea what genre it is)
and doom metal - well id say conan but

but im a weird technohead aswell so i really dig this artist called Bomb20, i have his field manual LP and its really really good.

Saw someone mention 200 stab wounds!! That’s soo sick, we’re a band from the Bay Area and we love us some 200 stab wounds and the classic Cannibal Corpse!

I know it's not true death metal but Lorna Shore is my favorite personally. I also enjoy 200 Stab Wounds and Cattle Decapitation though.

Let me tell you man, Atheist is awesome, Brutality, Demoltion Hammer, Sadus is a classic, and so is Hellwitch. Theyre all pretty much like early technical death metal from the 80's. they sound heavier than most bands nowadays and they all play in E standard

Guttural Slug, Witch Vomit, Haemorrhage, Cannibal Corpse, Fulci... there's a ton more (prolly posted on my prof) but i can't think rn x_x
