The Brisbane Gothic and Alternative Picnic 2021

So yesterday I went to this nearly annual event (I say nearly annual because last year it didn't happen for fairly obvious reasons) that is put on by someone I personally consider to be one of my very best friends. A Gothic picnic that is held in my hometown/current city.

I want to share this just because I think it'd be cool to show off eachother's respective alternative scenes.

If you ever find yourself in Brisbane, Australia (again, I understand if you can't JUST yet), this picnic is a must. It usually happens in June and while Goths are the main audience, they were by no means the only ones there.

So...I just thought you all might get a kick out of this.

Usually it comes from the main social media sites - if you have an instagram, follow the hashtag #brisbanegothicandalternativepicnic and they sometimes post times. Other than that, I have also seen them on Facebook specifically the group I modelled this one off of.

Facebook also has event pages (literally THE ONLY REASON I still have it barring meeting up with friends specifically within my general area) so if you want to bypass all of that, you can mark your interest here for the one next year.

I love this so much! A few of us have attempted to host such gatherings here but our turnout isn't nearly that impressive.

Been wanting to hold a picnic in one of our cemetaries for quitie sometimes. They even have a special spot for picnics so it's more respectful.
