Bob’s Bengali Chicken
Ingredients:
Chicken 1-2 Pounds, I like Thighs
2 Tablespoons Ghee for Browning The Chicken
1 Small Minced Onion (Yellow or Red)
2~3 Tablespoons Panch Phoron Spice (Bengali 5 Spice Blend)
Toasting it is optional
2~4 Cups Chicken Broth depending on how much Sauce you want.
1 Can Sliced Mushrooms
Salt/Pepper As Per Taste
Corn Starch for Thickening
Brown Chicken then add Broth, Onion and Spices and simmer till done, thicken with Cornstarch. Serve over Rice (I like Black Or Brown Rice), Pasta or Mashed Potatoes.
Add Raisins (Optional) adds a sweet burst of flavor and texture
