Y2K aesthetic

My teenage years were in the mid 90s to early 2000s and I have mad nostalgia for anything from this time period. Especially of that particular and specific Y2K aesthetic. One of the first music videos with this cyberpunkish particular aesthetic that I can remember seeing was the Michael Jackson's Scream. I loved almostΒ  anything with that look at the time and still do to this day. Do you have anything with this specific aesthetic that you want to share? Movies, books, music videos, album covers, magazines, comics, etc...

Not at all Last. This is still alive and well, I just hadn't logged in here for a while. Yall remember when that was a thing? Actually logging off and turning off? Everything is constantly logged in, online, and active nowadays. I'm so done with constant notifications from facebook, youtube, or instagram. But as hard as I try to distance myself from meta, it is quite hard, since most of my friends and family are all still there and won't budge or make an attempt to try something new or as brilliant as this super kool and neat throwback to myspace that alot of them had and loved till it became trendy to go to bland and boring facebook. I really hate that even message boards are all now there instead of in unique and independent websites like back in the day. Some of them are very creative and kool tho, I'm not gonna lie, but yea it just feels so weird that everything is in one place now and that our mobile phones also do everything which required mulitple devices before. I've gone back to listening to my mp3 player, cd walkman, cassette tape boom box, and mini disc portable players. I've also been using my real camera's instead of my phone and have been trying to keep it for the only use and purpose it was intended for, being just a mobile phone. So anyway TL;DR I went on a bit or a rant here haha! but yea I appreciate everyone's posts and what do yall think of what I've said here? How do yall feel about how things are now? Let me know and keep the kool y2k posts coming. Cheers yall!

I don't know what happened to my memories in the early 2000s, maybe my mum dropped me on my head, but I'm glad that y2k and cyberpunk aesthetics are making a comeback. That sort of rebellious edge is a pretty darn good escape from everyday life. Also am I necroposting? If I am, then I apologise.

'GIG boy & GIG girl' - Sony (1997)Β
Two characters created by Toons Imai for a line of Sony cassette tapes in march 1997. Per the creator; "They rollerblade or skateboard & go to clubs at night. GIG boy prefers hiphop, while GIG girl prefers British rock."

hopefully one day i can own one of these, idk why i like them so much
