i went to an abandoned school in north carolina once, unfortunately i don't have the pictures anymore. it was creepy but the worst thing about it was the wasps that were living in/around the building

I went to an old abandoned mill that was behind my friend's house, it was creepy as all hell, I swear to god there had to have been something in there, me and my friend both felt like we were being watched, and maybe we were, but we weren't going to stick around and see if a demon was sitting in a lawn chair in the corner watching us, so we dibbed after exploring the building for thirty minutes.

few weeks after, the place went down in construction after laying there since around 1990's
i was too scared to go in there without my friends so i only got to go like 3 times which is what i think the saddest thing was for that
made me wanna go exploring much more after that, better hangout spots

About 2-3~ years ago, me and a group of ""friends"" decided to check out these three abandoned houses in a secluded back corner of our town (I count it as a single place because all three of the houses are in the same lot, just some meters apart). I found some cool stuff, like a small box of assorted bullets and some old tools, but I really don't think it was worth it, because that was the most anxiety filled 30~ minutes of my life. The entire time, I felt like someone was staring at me just out of my field of view - also, I was put on guard duty, so that REALLY didn't help. I mean occasionally one of the other guys would come and update me on how the exploration was going, but 90% of the time it was just me hiding in a bush, peeing myself at the thought of someone pulling up and us getting arrested - also, two of the guys were pretty convinced that the whole place was haunted af, so I was worrying about ghosts at the same time. Eventually it ended because some old guy pulled up and very politely told me to tell my friends to gtfo before he called the police. I still get really uncomfortable, on edge even, whenever I think about it. Sry for the big paragraph.

One time I went into a subway tunnel on a 10 minute walk to find an abandoned station in my city. My shin had actually gotten hit by a moving train on the way since I ducked down so I didn't get caught. It was completely pitch black, COMPLETELY. We were so scared because we didn't know if that station was going to be there, from how long that walk was. It was the sickest station I have ever explored and it was a huge station. We ended up finding these 2 polyester poster rolls that had discontinued trains on them.

I went to an abandoned carpark and it was a giant squatter den. Some homeless guy on crack yelled at me.

I've been doing urbex for about fourteen years now and the place with the darkest vibe was a subterranean Nazi base in Germany. It was just some hatch in the woods that led down to a huge underground facility. Apparently it was their naval high command so all the U-boats would have got their orders from there. It was a very heavy atmosphere. I felt like I didn't belong at all.

Last year, me and a random girl from my school decided to explore an abandoned house nearby. It was very exciting and a bit scary. But I felt more at ease knowing that I wasn't alone. We found some cool stuff like vinyl records, cassette tapes and VHS, but some creppy ones as well, such as rat poison, and snake eggs. Everything was destroyed and scattered around, apparently a lot of people tend to get in there since the gates are broken and so are the doors. I firmly believe this place is haunted, since I've heard some humors about the dead owner, and my mom who claims to see spirits sometimes, has seen "the figure of a man" in our backyard many times (I think he's haunting me for stealing his records lol). I dont doubt her, since I've seen some stuff myself too. The house is still there, and i never went there again...specially after I spotted a naked man doing "stuff" to himself while watching me pass by.
At least, I have an iron maiden cassette now lol.

Creepiest one has to be this big building I went into which used to be a library, concert venue and stuff.. it was built in the 1800s, and I went there a few years ago.. jeez, it was probably the darkest place I've been to in my life, so quiet too.. super creepy ;3;

broke into this weird living installation near an abandoned steel mill. Everything was boarded up but me and a few friends managed to remove a giant board and get in. Needless to say it was TERRIFYING. the best way to explain it was business corporate hell meets 60's housing accomadations. Something straight out of the backrooms. Ill share pictures if anyones interested

I went to an abandoned nursing home a couple years back. I’d say what made it scary is the fact that doors would randomly slam shut.

A classic one for me is the famous Packard Plant. Not really scary, rather strangely peaceful. So peaceful it comes around to scary. Hm.

I would love to go unban Exploring. There are two places' I would love to go. one a building on the main road, it has a restaurant and theater and some sort of studio that's all be run down for years but there has to be a way in since their is graffiti in the windows.
the second one is a little further, is a whole factory that's been empty for as long as I've know, right next to a under pass. One day I'll go and I'll finally satisfied that itch

me and a couple friends once went to this abandoned house and factory near the highway. these kids we met there told us through google translate that there were sounds of clowns, witches and 3 satanic men living in the factory tower. so ofc we checked it out, and there was dried mud caked over the inner walls, with markings etched in them, kinda like hieroglyphics. then we heard a footstep from the stairs going up, and some guys voice. may have been a squatter but we ran out. But nothing happened, it was just a bit unusual, especially those symbols in the mud.

My student accom in Manchester has this creepy af basement. I've been down there a few times and found all sorts: including mattresses, a bike, a broken mirror, among some other junk. One of my friends who i explored it with said it smelled of asbestos, like my lungs aren't on their way out anyway cause of cigs. It's so fun when I have to go down there for laundry and totally not the creepiest thing when you're staring down this dark and dusty hallway waiting for your clothes to be done washing ;)

lot of places weren't mapped on google maps in town, so we'd often
explore trails that usually didn't get regularly maintained. At one
point we had walked a little farther then we normally did, and the path a
gotten more overgrown. We saw large metal fences, but the view inside
was obstructed by plants. When we entered, we saw that it was an
extremely overgrown tennis court. Plants had grown through the
foundation and made large walls of foliage. As we explored we found a
sea turtle in the back, it was long dead sadly.
to mention that I live in a land locked state, which made it that much
more bizarre. Feeling creeped out, and with it becoming dusk. We decided
to head home for the night. Sometimes I remember how eerie we felt after that, it definitely left a lasting impression.

I went to an abandoned underground system with my two friends. We had to climb down a big ladder to get down there. I thought it was going fall off and were going to get stuck there but we survived. It was very dark down there and full of trash so...very scary(╥ _ ╥)

There's this abandoned factory in my town that's completely trashed and the building is falling apart but the worst part is that multiple people have died there and none of the blood or nooses were ever cleared up or taken down or another spot in my town would be an old tree house where I've found many horse skulls or at least i think they're horse skulls really weird and the police dosnt gaf even after many people reported horses missing

last 2023, we were strolling around late at night and we found someplace that gives us the chills. it's an abandoned village with a large, rusty gate on front and the lots inside are now filled with grasses and other wild plants and what's even eerier is that in front nearby of that village is a cemetery.

I love urban ex so much. my creepiest place was an old Mexican restaurant by my house. i like going alone sometimes for a better thrill but this one gave me the weirdest vibes like someone was watching me(probably a homeless person lived there).it was trashed with plants taking over still had those red emergency lights by the exist still towards the bathroom area (which I thought was soooo cool)I walk over open the door, just a bunch of deceased animals on the floor, I ran out went home. I don't think it was the restaurant bcuz why??? and some of them were new and the place was like that for a few years... but I will never go back. not even sure its still there.
