Here are 10 of the most sold singles in Italy in 1980:


  1. Video killed the radio star - The Buggles 
  2. Olympic games - Miguel Bosè 
  3. Non so che darei - Alan Sorrenti
  4. Luna - Gianni Togni 
  5. Amico - Renato Zero 
  6. Remi (le sue avventure) - I Ragazzi di Remi 
  7. Il Tempo se ne va - Adriano Celentano 
  8. Upside down - Diana Ross
  9. You and me - Spargo 
  10. Master blaster (Jammin') - Stevie Wonder 
It's funny to see that one of the most sold single, the number 6, is the theme song of a cartoon. That's because in that period many children used their parents' record players and wanted to listen also to their favorite music on them! I still have a couple of those vynils at home, both are theme songs from The Smurfs cartoon :D
