I miss some of the random sites I'd come across using Stumbleupon.

Yep. StumbleUpon would routinely generate the most interesting stuff to browse through. I had saved a bunch of stuff too, I guess now I'll never be able to visit the ones I wanted to "get back to" at some point

I totally forgot about this! StumbleUpon was how I found my first CTF and Skulltag (a Doom emulator with a easy multiplayer setup).

Do these sites filter out any like dubious sites and/or NSFW sites? I've always been a little hesitant to go to random sites just in case of malware or unsavory content.

Stumbleupon is so much better than the new shit they made for it. 

I loved StumbleUpon! I've heard of some of these modern alternatives but haven't tried any yet. I'll have to look into it.
