Has to be Scream! Halloween (1978) is a close second -- The Lost Boys and You're Next are also some of my favourites

probably Evil Dead 2, but I'm just as likely to say Suspiria if you ask me on a different day - they're both so much fun to watch, incredibly stylish, and really committed to their styles, and just completely fucking crazy lol

One of my favorite horror movies to come out this year would probably be X or Pearl. They have such a good outlook on the aesthetic of the decade that takes place. I really love both aesthetics and lore of both movies and Mia Goth starring as both main roles literally shows how talented she is.

oooo recently i've really really liked shrew's nest, i found it on shudder and it's in spanish but i'll be damned if it wasn't very psychological. impetigore is also really good for the same reason!

i know this is more sci-fi than horror, but still sort of falls into the horror category, but Cube (1997) is definitely my fave. i would also say silence of the lambs is a close second personally

Hmm, I have a lot, but since it's the holiday season, I'm going with the 1974 Black Christmas. I also like the 1978 Halloween and the 1996 Scream :)

I think my top favorite horror movie would have to be the original Halloween from 1978.

In terms of old horror movies, I absolutely love Carrie, I also love Electric Dreams, although I don't think it's actually scary
In terms of new ones, I adore Nope!

I would have to agree with a comment below, Rosemary's Baby. That movie had some really creepy scenes.

It's not everyone's cup of tea, and I wouldn't say it's the scariest film out there, but Savageland is a recent favourite. All time favourite though is the original Halloweeen, the movie that started it all for me.
