Black Christmas (the 1974 one obv) is my all-time fav due to how it shaped the slasher genre as well as its still-relevant feminist narrative.

Not neccessarily scary, but Re-Animator is my all time favourite. As for one that actually scared me, probably Kairo (Pulse in english). That movie managed to check all the creepy boxes for me. Not an experience I think I will repeat, but a great film nonetheless.

I’m not into a lot of slasher movies. I’m more of a plot kinda girl. (Not that slashers dont have plots) but i appreciate the slow burn and gore isn’t required in order to count as a scary movie to me. As long as the plot is un nervong and downright creepy- it’s my kind of movie. Extreme body horror is ok with me as long as the story is sound. Hard to pick just one but my full list is on my page.

My favorites are Evil Dead 2, Scream and Dark Harbor! That last one isn't really a horror movie, but it's listed as a Thriller!
