is amd better than intel?

just a little less expresive, looking in the competive cenario of pc building of course. The r5 8600g has something like 2% less performance than a 14600, but for sure the "k" version keeps close to the 9600x while having wopping 8 core vantage what normally means more fps, thats why my xeon e5 performs like a 10400f, but running at 2.9ghz.
