one day i saw a pic of an emo boy and he was just like a school bus' helper (idk if that's how you call it, i just call her "the school bus lady who helps getting the kids in school") i knew when i was 6 or sum, who i wanted to become when i grew older bc she was super cool and i loved her hair and style and piercings, and started to look more and more about it and just a few days ago i realized i met an og emo and never told her i liked her style. she's still my favorite tbh, even tho i never saw her again

Probs around 7 years now. I kinda kept it to myself since I was afraid of family, friends, and even bf telling me (they told me before) it was bad, but I finally gained enough courage to embrace the scenemo and rage Sunday, Monday, and the entire week!

When I was a young girl (lmao), I saw a group of scene, emo, and goth kids hanging around and tho my mom disapproved of them, I loved how stunning, bada$$, wild, and stylish they looked. In my childish mind, it was like watching them rebel against what was considered "normal" and "right" and choosing to accept themselves as they were. That they fought their own battles and embraced their scars in their own way.

My Chemical Romance, Avril Lavigne, and Slipknot! Met them through videos on YouTube and later went down a rabbit hole in Spotify. NO REGRETS!!!

I started out as a TikTok alt kid despite not having TikTok. My interest in the TikTok alternative scene eventually made me interested in actual alternative subcultures. It was during my research into historical subcultures that I found out about the scene subculture and immediately fell in love with it.

Pierce The Veil.

I can't pick a favorite band.
