Back when i was like 7 or 6 i saw some kids under the slide at a playground trading cards and i got interested in that so i asked them what the cards they had were and they told me they were Pokémon cards so when i got home i asked my parents for some  and that just kind of started everything lol

played Smash Bros, used Pikachu and my dad showed me Indigo League. My first game was Alpha Sapphire :3

pokemon go in 2017 (im 13!)

Got a Zubat plush from Arby's or Wendy's (forgot which restaurant had them) it was during the whole Ty beanie craze.  First cards were the Pikachu that came with the first vhs tape and i got a Squirtle card from my best friend (RIP), used to get up at like 6am to watch it every morning before school.  First anime series was great.  Really emotional and epic.  The movie capped it off nicely too.  Used to play Pokemon Stadium against my best friend too.  We'd take forever setting up teams for VS. battles and even looked away from the tv or left the room so nobody would cheat.  I miss that guy.

My parents bought White and Black (thinking they were separate games) for me and my brothers. Thank goodness they did get both because I would have given up if my brothers didn't trade me their stronger Pokémon lol 

My mom got me Pokemon Yellow but I never got that far as a kid because I refused to read for some reason so I ended up just sticking with the anime and tcg for the most part. Same story for Crystal. It was only when I got Ruby that I actually managed to beat the Pokemon league. Actually getting that far and finally beating Steven after several tries along with catching Rayquaza were big core memories for me.

Even though I never got far in Yellow I still have found memories of it too like my friend helping me out throughout the game, just talking about how cool it was that there was yet another version of pokemon, naming my rival after my friend, and everything about Pikachu in general. I did eventually beat it too but only much later as an adult.
