So with thanksgiving around the corner i wanna know everybodys personal opinion on thanksgiving. How do you celebrate thanksgiving? Do you even celebrate thanksgving? What things are you looking forward to eating?

Me and my family stop celebrating thankgiving about 2-3 years ago but we do a thing called Friendsgiving, inviting all friends and family to eat and have drinks. In the beginning if feels like a regular thanksgiving dinner but then it turns into a party..

I feel like as the years have gone by any tradition that my family has had towards thanksgiving have died out.

Most years my boyfriend and I “celebrate” together, but it’s really just an excuse to cook all the tasty food and have a million leftovers so we don’t have to cook so much the following week

What do you guys do during your party portion of the Friendsgiving?

We don't 'celebrate' it in the whole "the pilgrims and the indians" sense, but it's a nice excuse to get family and friends together for a nice autumn harvest meal (that's what it was before it was co-opted by the puritans). My family is so scattered that trying to have a big, central one never really works (and flights are expensive), so it's just whoever is around that wants to come over.

Never been the hugest fan of turkey, so I usually cook something more 'exotic' (duck, pheasant, quail, etc).
