Forum: musicians' collaborative workspace Group

hey everybody, i thought it would be cool for us all to introduce ourselves here. here's a non-exhaustive list of things that would be cool to know about you all:

- what is your artist name, how you want to be referred to (if different), and your pronouns?

- what style of music do you make?

- do you have any projects you're currently working on or hoping to start working on?

- have you collaborated on music or other artistic endeavours before?

- who are your artistic inspirations or favorite artists?

- what do you like to do other than making music?

i'm paranoia-crux (she/her), but you can call me paranoia. i've been making music for over 20 years, playing trombone and bass at first and then slowly learning more instruments until i started writing songs and then producing my own tracks in ableton.

i'm currently working on a super-synthy, rap-based mixtape for a show on the 14th. it's coming along, but there's a lot of work to do still before it's complete and all the lyrics are memorized and performance-ready.

i've been in a ton of bands in high school and college, and i've rapped and produced with a few friends. i djed as a duo with a friend-turned-lover-turned-ex a few years back.

i'm looking to be very open-minded about collaborating here. i have my own style and voice i bring, but i would love to see how that can mesh with other people's voices without too lofty expectations. all for the love of the game.

my favorite artists and inspirations right now are jane remover, skepta, uniiqu3, underscores, umru, and tinashe. always changing tho haha

when i'm not making music, i like to prep for my music-exploration radio show (thurs. 8-10am est on morenoiseradio.com), play video games (cities skylines and into the breach right now), and see movies and play basketball with friends.

i'm looking forward to meeting some more artists!!
