was it really necessary to implement this measure in europe? i think it was more than clear that most european netizens don´t want it. i hate this.

I heard that it had already been voted on and rejected 4 times, then it went back for a 5th vote right as some MEPs went away for summer and instead of being a vote to pass Chat Control it was a vote to reject Chat Control and those who didn't vote were counted as 'against' the proposal to reject Chat Control.
Can't have people voting incorrectly, can we now?
