It is difficult to think about, however due to her natural beauty, I'd assum she was treated as a female assistant for the other's. Their roles in the circus came from when they were taken advantage of by humans. Knowing the cruelty they were placed upon I can imagine that Columbina was treated unfairly, maybe for being the only female monster, therefore leading her to be cast aside an not have a role to herself.
