Gamers what's your opinion on what sony is doing?

For those who are unaware on what's up with sony, sony announced like 8 days ago that they would stop manufacturing discs for all new playstation games going forward in 2028. I personally think this is an outrage because truth be told I'm not a fan of the way gaming is going.

Not only are games getting more and more expensive, console prices are getting more expensive, pc building now is already not budget friendly as it once was but now sony will stop making discs? I actually like to OWN my games and not for them to be under a ''license'' and collect copies of my games.

 While yes, technically on steam you are buying a license to play the games and you don't actually own them. But the prices on steam / steam sales are way better than a console would ever have and also steam won't just delete your media / revoke your license just because since they are removing over 500 movies and tv show's purchased on the psn store with no refund due to licensing concerns. Look I understand that eventually licenses expire and all that but no refund? That's pretty scummy in my personal opinion. 

I wonder what you guys think, I personally am concerned with the state of the gaming industry because what if other gaming companies like xbox or nintendo decide to get idea's from sony and stop making discs. Because truth be told physical media has been on a decline for ages now and its not getting any better especially with this kinda stuff happening.
