Probably dumb question. I'm trying to get more into the punk scene and I have no guidance, so I'm going around asking in random places.
Some background (you don't need to read it):
I decided to ask reddit (yes, dumb from my part). I posted a picture of patch pants that I'm making asking for tips or if they were missing something. While some of the comments were positive and encouraging, others were hating on a single patch I have on them. This ""horrible, awful"" patch, is one of the mlp character Derpy..because.. I like Derpy. Now, not only was there a Derpy patch, there were also some bands and some political patches.
I always though being punk was about ideologies and that stuff and I've been told so as long as I've known about the subculture. They said that clothes didn't matter.. so then why does THISSS matter?
That and hating on me because I do not own a battle jacket.
So was I wrong the whole time? Or are these people just hating because people will hate?
P.S: Sorry for the long post, im neurodivergent and I like to overexplain stuff. Also english isn't my first lenguage
