> Always dry shampoo before it; if ur bangs or hair r greasy, it will not look as good.

> Good alternatives to just simple hairspray & brush out for volume that I LOVEEEEE r hair powder and hair mousse!!! Hair powder gives CRAZY volume. Hair mousse is also super good for volume pre-teasing! Ya just gotta add a layer of strong hairspray to it afterwards so it holds.

> ALWAYS buy the strongest brand of hairspray. If there’s a brand u trust and like, get the strongest one bc chances are, the one that is one level lower will not be as good :P my personal fav brand is beadhead.

> keep in mind what brushes u use to tease ur hair!!! Paddle brushes will tease larger portions of hair, but the roots will not be as tightly packed and it won’t poof up as big. Multi-layer teasing combs and rat tail combs are amazing for volume, but can only do small portions of hair at a time. If ur going for the peacock look or trying to get smaller sections of hair to align better before spraying, try using a smaller brush!

And to get it out, DONT IMMEDIATELY GO BRUSHING THRU UR HAIR SUPER AGGRESSIVELY !! when u use super heavy duty kinda stuff like this, u can risk ripping ur hair out by just brushing it out all quickly. if u can, wash it out. If there’s still knots and stuff, pinch the section of your hair that has the knots/tangles higher up on your head w one hand (closer to the hair root so it doesn’t hurt as much, but not all the way to your scalp!) and SLOWLY brush through with the brush in the other hand. As it detangles, u can start gradually brushing higher. This has helped me prevent losing more hair from ripping it out by accident :’P

OK so freshly washed hair never really works for me as i have naturally wavy hair which frizzes when i straighten it like a day or so after washing

so after my hairs a couple days marinated i straighten like FUK then i point some of the back up and when i actually style style my hair i brush some of the hair from the back of my head towards the front and shape my fringe wit hairspray

gel is good for spiking ends if you want that shARRRPP look x

i used to straighten my hair with hairspray drenched in but i dont think that was helping my hair at ALL

Tips for how i do MY scene hair/ stuff I've learned in the past 4 years I've been a scene kid-->

>freshly washed hair is too slippery to tease/style so I use texture/styling powder to make it less smooth (dry shampoo does the same thing)

>dry shampoo your greasy ass bangs so you wont get fringe gap

>speaking of fringe gap, tease your bangs near the roots to make the hair stay closer together to prevent gaps

> Got2b glued hairspray is the only thing that really works for me

>tease at the crown and lightly brush it out in the direction your swoop/bangs go so it stays poofy and spikey but not all tangled looking

> make sure to check from multiple angles bc I always end up teasing it all uneven the first time or missing huge gaps in my side fringe (;-;)

> both sides don't need to be perfectly symmetrical, its a side part for a reason

>instead of putting bows/accessories in your bangs, clip them in the side fringe right next to it so it doesn't give you that annoying gap (please say you know what I'm talking Abt)

> I slick my bangs under my glasses but it rlly depends how long your bangs are. some people can pull off the over-the-glasses bangs idk
