Sonic now is better than ever

I used to like old Sonic a lot because of the depth it had but also the Boom era was atrocious. I know people like the cartoon but even that was mediocre at best. I loved the darkness in SATAM, the stories from Sonic Adventure games, the J-RPG flow of things, the edge it had, etc. While I like Sonic Colors, that's when it started to go downhill.

Recently, however, the Sonic franchise has been amazing. Mania was pretty good. the IDW comics are great. Frontiers was peak. The movies are excellent. Sonic CrossWorlds knocked Mario Kart off the racetrack. Sonic X Shadow Generations was a phenomenal game. We've been blessed with some of the best Sonic media recently. 

I do wish it was more serialized though. The Adventure games, Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, '06, and other games were episodic. I wish modern Sonic was more connected
