I'm new to reading homestuck :(

uhhmmm im kinda new onto reading the story of homestuck but idk how to understand it or keep in mind like I think im on like act 2 because usally i dont have time to read it but do u guys have any like.. tips? idk man everyone gonna judge me bc im a neww fannn :((  

i mean i could like some of the characters but I DONT KNOW EM because I dont know what they do to the plotline and shit
