why people come to spacehey (not what you think)

Dear Diary,

In my last blog post I talked about BBL's and how toxic social media was. I got 1 follower of the blog, an enthousiast, I did not expect it. At least it's not 0. maybe there is hope after all.

Anyways, since our last conversation, my diary, you know how troubled I am with where things are going in teen and young adults. The water is slipping in our hands and we fail to grasp it...but you just need a jar. A spark. Something.

I TALKED TO ALOT OF PEOPLE ON SPACEHEY and what I have to say to theses people is althought they seem to be part of the less BRAIN DEAD, there is something deeply troubling about the over 50+ interactions I have had.

hello to anyone i have spammed and asked questions to. im that mf "trying to figure shit out"! ;)

People seem to CARE MORE ABOUT THEIR PROFILES AND THEIR APPEARANCE than actually connecting with people. But when you ask them the following 2 questions, observe the answers:

1. ME: "what do you like about spacehey after using it?"

THE most frequent ANSWER: "it's less systematic, annoying, addictive, and invasive as social media (instagram, tiktok, snaptchat)."

2. ME: "why did you install / create an account on spacehey?"

THE most frequent ANSWER: "My friend had a cool profile and I wanted one too."

AM I CRAZY OR DOES ANYONE ELSE ON HERE SEE THE CONTRADICTION?

if you get it, you might feel the inkling of true terror creeping up your spine.

IF YOU DON'T GET IT, it seems we are hard wired to care more about our appearance, FOMO, and others noticing us than actually creating change, or even more simply: CONNECTING WITH PEOPLE.

As I said previously in my blog, it's been 10 years. 10 fucking YEARS PEOPLE.

The people who run this world understand how important social media is because they own it.

If you love or hate the man, Elon musk, he is one the most powerful people out there: why do you think he uses twitter (im not saying X)? Why do you think he bought it? And no it's not just business.

Apart from creating a brain rott brain, social media is just the most effective way to manipulate your mind. If you think social media is all about distracting you from your invasive boredom, you are deeply mistaken. If you think you use social media and you control your usage and how your brain works, you are deeply mistaken. You will never rival with an algorithm and you will never rival with the data that have to make sure they get to their goal.

*my comments here about people on spacehey is truth seeking, not meant to hurt anyone. I enjoy talking to all and everyone. If you don't like the truth, this is not the space for you.

xoxo
