advice on how to get started?

hi, newbie here, looking for advice on how to get started with... general knowledge regarding firearms and such, lol. i dont know how better to phrase it like that. how did you all begin learning? what got you interested in guns in the first place? was it growing up in an environment that necessitated learning how to shoot? (hunting) or was it just as a hobby? apologies for reviving an old group as well, thank you to whoever responds.
