Are seals part of marine biology? My friend loves seals.🦭 I like seals too and I think walruses are cool

Yes, seals are part of marine biology as well as the walrus. They are pinnipeds, which means they are fin or flippered footed mammals. They are also semi-aquatic and carnivorous.

Here’s one thing I worry about. I heard once that because of water’s ability to resist changes in temperature and absorb heat that the ocean is taking the blunt of climate change. Is this true? Is this impacting sea creatures a lot?

I apologize for the late reply, but yes, the ocean is taking on a significant amount of the impact from climate change. Because it absorbs a large portion of the excess heat, it’s experiencing changes in temperature, chemistry, and overall dynamics. These changes are already affecting marine life in many ways, and scientists are continuing to study the full extent of the impact.
