Found a new old social platform

Forum: Web, HTML, Tech

I posted a blog about this, thought I'd throw it in forums too. This isn't my main account, I'm slightly worried about what might happen if I suggest another site on my other account, as I don't want to get banned or anything (I could be overthinking).

I know about a few old revival sites, specifically Spacehey and Friendproject.

I really like Spacehey, but my only issue is that a bunch of my friends got booted off because it's no long available in their region.

So, I was scrolling through Reddit, looking at some nostalgic subreddits. I found a screenshot that came from ribbitchat.com. It doesn't seem to be a direct clone of any social platforms, but it's definitely similar to Myspace or old Facebook in different ways, at least in my opinion.

I've met a few people on there, they seem cool. The site is definitely small, but everything is a lot easier to customize.

By all means, feel free to ignore this completely if you have no intentions of looking at other sites. I like being on several of them though, so Spacehey and Ribbit are definitely my first choices.

Overall, they're both great sites.

Do they happened to be living in the UK or whatever country with draconian laws? I suggest they should use a VPN, as I do rn

Ribbitchat is it? If you don't mind, would you describe what Ribbitchat do as a social platform? I'm maintaining a website that indexes a lot of cool stuff to explore on the internet. Currently WIP but I added a couple of retro-themed website into the mix. I might add Ribbitchat, just needed the right description for it.

From what I know, it's kind of like Spacehey and Friendproject but in a VERY unique way. Spacehey is a direct clone of Myspace, ribbitchat is kind of a mix of everything. I find that there is a lot of customization without needing to code things in, so everything is old, but also done with buttons instead
