I haven't been here since SpaceHey was blocked in the UK. I'm now in the Netherlands so now I can use the site and I was wondering how you guys connect with others. I'm trying to make new friends to try and stay on here for longer.

No SpaceHey itself wasn't banned, but the UK is cracking down on age verification. The technology for ages verification is expensive, so SpaceHey can't afford it likely.
Easy workaround - VPNs. For anyone who didn't already know.

Honestly I don't get why sites that don't physically operate in the UK officially acknowledge the OSA in any capacity. It's far better to just waste Ofcom's time and money having them block you instead and it's not like you can be extradited over not verifying your users.

I'm new to Spacehey and trying to work out the same thing myself with mixed results :P I'm just trying to be active in forums and groups at the moment and hoping I can make some fun connections that way ^_^ I am going with the mentality that people with the same vibe as me will just naturally gravitate in my general direction XD
I am also in the UK but being sneaky with VPNs to get around things >_> I am shocked Spacehey has been blocked in certain cities in America too?! That seems wild to me!

No shit, but we don't have the lobbying money getting this put in place to begin with. The best we can do is run as many decentralized services as possible and refuse to comply, which I'm already doing.
