Hiii, I'm bored. Tell me some crazy stories from Your work with kids.
I can start.
So I had lessons with a couple of 1st graders. I asked one girl (let's call her Janet) to help me give away their handouts. Then, this other girl (let's call her Susan) took two handouts and refused to give one back, holding the handout she stole in the air. So Janet just took back the one she put on a desk.
So the little thief of handouts started crying. She literally screamed and so I told her I'd give her a warning if she screams again. Which was a mistake because this 7 year old threatened me in return, saying she'd run away from classroom. And so she actually stood up and tried to escape, but OH MY LUCK—the students I let out to bathroom (which I normally don't do) entered the classroom at the same time, blocking Susan's path. And so she changed her plan and ran into the corner of the room.
Now I've been a teacher for 2 years only and even if some students already cried at my lesson, it wasn't anything like THAT. But I gave the rest of the students a task, the time they have to finish it and then approached Susan to check on her. And she hugged me The story ends well, because I let her cool down and said that we'd be playing a game at tye end of the lesson and that she was still invited to join us. And so she did and seemed cheered up a bit :)
