Context:

I have been recently getting back into character
writing and writing in general, so I wrote this as a past event in my
character, Camille S backstory. She is one of my MTF scp ocs I used to
use for SCP roleplays. The other oc, Anas, is a character my ex used to
roleplay with (we are on good terms and he gave me permission to use his
character since he hasn't used him in a while). I don't know every
detail in the SCP lore, but I do know some of it. I am sorry if I got
some details wrong or if my writing is bad, feel free to leave your
thoughts in the comments or if I should do some more writing.

...........................................................................................................................................

As
she looked out the frozen window of the plane, Camille thought to
herself how she got here. She was only 24 years old, her long brown hair
running down her slender back. Her youthful eyes were full of
unresolved trauma and pain. The smell of cigarette smoke lingered around
the plane and she turned around to see Sergeant Anas lighting another
one up. He noticed her stares and narrowed his glance at her. Anas was a
young, slim, rough man with a harsh Russian accent. Since the day he
met Camille a few weeks ago, he has despised her. Her blank stares,
submissive ways, it was as if she was a robot, as if she couldn't
function without someone ordering her around. It pissed him off how
flawless she was and how quiet she was. Camille was hiding something big
and he knew it. Camille looked back out the window. She hasn't made any
friends in the weeks she has been there. It reminded her of her old job
on the European front, which didn't last long. Her teammates found her
anti-social behavior creepy, so they avoided her like the plague. At the
bars, she drank alone, smoked alone, she even ate alone. She sighed to
herself, thinking about her pathetic ways.

Before
Camille knew it, the speakers on the plane announced that they were
going in for a landing. Her mission, from what Camille was told, was to
find the cause of the unusual movement detected by the base. A group of
scientists has detected unusual movement in the middle of nowhere in
Antarctica, a couple hundred miles from the base. She nervously grasped
the sides of her chair. It was her first mission, in an area barely
nobody has dared to explored. Camille was not filled in about the
dangers of this world, all she knew is that she had the defend this base
from danger. She looked around at the others on her team, all of them
with their confident faces, but in their eyes, she could see fear in
some and in others, she could see the tiredness on their faces. The bags
under their eyes showed Camille what she had to look forward too. She
looked back out the window as the plane landed. As it landed, she made
sure all her equipment was on before she slipped on her mask and winter
headwear. "Alright men...and woman! Gather with the Sergeant in charge
of your group and get going to your positions!" Camille walked over to
Sergeant Charles, who ignored her and looked at the other men instead of
her. "Alright men, follow me."

Charles leads the
group out into the freezing Antarctic tundra. They were moving North
with the snow going up to Camille's knees. The snow was falling down
onto the group rough, the winds blowing the harsh snows in all
directions. She was in the back of all of the men, struggling to keep up
with them. They walked for while before Camille fell down. She tripped
and fell face first into the snow. She struggled to get out, trying her
hardest to get up in the ice like snow. But the wind kept her down, it
kept her face in the snow. She panicked, she was going to get lost, she
was going to die here. The snow was getting heavier and heavier each
passing second and after what seemed like 30 minutes, she finally got
up. However, it was too late, the team had forgotten about her and all
their footsteps were gone. That is when she heard a growl from under
her. She panicked and tried to run away from the noise below her. The
growl only got louder and closer until a creature she had never seen
before cut through and shook the ice, causing Camille to fly back and
grip the ground. She groaned as her body shook and looked up at this
massive creature, her eyes wide in fear as she saw it in front of her.
The creature was an all black creature, standing at about the size of a
skyscraper. It looked like a shadow with white voids for eyes. It also
had pointy teeth and spikes all over it. The creature made eye contact
with Camille before disappearing into the sky. Camille sat there in awe
of the sight, her whole body shaken in fear. What was that thing? What
was this thing doing here? Was it real? She reached for her walkie
talkie before she realized that she left it in the plane. She was
screwed badly.

Sergeant Charles and his team went back
to the plane, finding nothing important from the mission. The team
hadn't even realized that Camille was missing until 4 hours after she
was missing, but they didn't care to look for her. Charles had a job to
do and didn't have the time to look for some lost new girl. As he
entered the plane with all the others, the Captain looked at Charles.
"You're missing a soldier? I wasn't informed on that over the walkies.."
The Captain eyed Charles suspiciously. Sergeant Charles sweat
nervously, not wanting to admit his fault to the Captain. "My apologies
Captain, it was the girl, she must have wandered off, you know how girls
are." He nervously chuckled. Sergeant Anas overheard this and stood up,
walking over to the both of them. He knew Camille wouldn't just wander
off, he had only known her for a few weeks, but he could see how in
order she was. "Camille wouldn't do that." He spoke up, narrowing his
eyes at Charles."She has proven herself to be a very devoted and in
order individual during training and even in her transfer report here.
That is why she is on our team, am I wrong, Captain?" Anas looked at the
Captain. He nodded in return. "She is a newbie, but, she doesn't seem
like a type of soldier to do her own thing." Sergeant Charles glared at
Anas as he talked to the Captain."So what are we going to do now though?
She is probably lost in the middle of nowhere, it has been 12 hours and
she has no food, she is probably dead out there right now."

Camille
breathed heavily, bleeding as she touched the big claw mark in her arm.
She had seen the creature again, this time in a human size form. She
decided to try and get a good look of it, but then, it started to attack
her. The creature growled at her and she grabbed her gun, shooting at
it multiple times, screaming in pain. Her gun was no match for the
creature though, the bullets going through it. The creature then pounced
on her again and slashed at her face, which she tried to cover with her
arms. Its claws were like daggers and she screamed again in agony. She
kicked at it until, it got off of her. This thing only responded to hand
to hand combat. She stood up with all the adrenaline
she had and she kicked it hard in the stomach, knocking the creature
over. She then continued to kick the crap out of it as it whimpered,
until she knew it was not moving anymore. Her face winced as it
whimpered until it stopped. As her adrenaline ran out and she felt her
blood run more and more into the snow, she collapsed on top of the
creature, her eyes closed as she breathed quickly and passed out in the
snow.

As
she awoke
from her cold state, she heard the sounds of the plane. She woke up to
find herself laid out on a bench on the plane. As she turned her head,
she saw Sergeant Anas glancing at her with a cigarette in his mouth. The
Captain and Sergeant Charles approached her. "Camille, are you doing
alright?" Camille stood up immediately and nodded. "Yes Captain."
Charles crossed his arms."Look Camille, don't wander around next time on
mission, it was a big bother to find you." She frowned to herself. She
really was a big trouble to them. "I am so-" "Camille here actually
found what was setting off the radar, so you should be thanking her for
"wandering around".." Sergeant Anas crossed his arms and glared at
Charles. The Captain nodded in agreement. "Good job on your first
mission, Camille, the base will appreciate your efforts." The Captain
then smirked at Anas. "Also, if it wasn't for Sergeant Anas over here,
no one would have known of this amazing victory, he was the one that
suggested we go back out and search for you." Camille looked at Anas. He
just smoked his cigarette and looked away from her. She thought that
Anas hated her with a passion, the first time they met, he glared at her
and gave her a hard time. Even at training, he would criticize her
fighting style. But hearing that he was the one that wanted to search
for her made her feel something she hasn't felt before. She felt cared
for, she felt like a human being.
