CALLING ALL recording artists / studio musicians!!! I need some advice

I just had a session booked for tomorrow afternoon but it was postponed. I figured I would come ask the lovely people of Spacehey for some tips from your studio experiences. ANY GENRE, ANY STYLE, ALL ADVICE IS WELCOME!!! I'm gonna be recording on drums if that helps as well. 

-how should I prepare?

-what should I bring?

-how do you relax or manage your anxieties?

-do you usually read sheet music or not?

-Even if you're given control over how a part sounds, should you always listen to the artist even if its what you would consider bad?

-some basic studio etiquette tips
