a movement about switching from for example apps with subscriptons to like cd players, dvd players and switching from modern brand new phones to old tiny phones.. my opinion on it? i LOVE it!! i already got myself an mp3 player(asked for it for the new year) and already got some songs on it. :DD

i fully switched to dvds for movies and recently got a mp3 player so ive completely abandoned subscription services, feels amazing.

i dont own physical media except a usb drive (full of everything i need like music, anime) because i have no money :(

I have a MP3 player myself (the Snowsky Echo Mini) and it's awesome :3

I've been collecting physical media for years (CDs, cassettes, DVDs, you name it), it's such a fun hobby.

i mostly collect psychical media because i like actually owning stuff and not depending on big streaming services controlling what i can and can't watch. i want to own a nas so i can selfhost with jellyfin and other apps like nextcloud

i've really been getting back to watching dvds and have started collecting more blu-rays. i'm lucky enough my family already has a bunch of dvds lying aroudn. the whole physical media movement is really cool

I copied my CD collection to a big external drive so while I don't have anything physical anymore, I at least have access to my files whenever I want them. Moving a lot growing up makes you not want to have a lot of stuff so a huge shelf full of CD cases never appealed to me anyway.
