Hello! This is months late sorryyyy, but my process for making comics is usually:
- Make a list of the events that are going to happen in the comic
- Write the script based on the list
- Do thumbnails (optional, sometimes I skip this step if the comic is short enough
- Draw the comic
If you're having trouble with confidence in your drawings, I recommend getting a few comics that you really like the art of, and re- drawing the pages you like the most as practice. You can do it in your style and even exchange the characters for your OCs or change the dialogue.
I've found this is a great way of studying composition and getting a hang of different ways to draw scenes so that they flow better and you're not just drawing talking heads back and forth.
Another thing I did when I wasn't confident in my drawings is I took my old school notebooks, and even if the pages were lined, I filled every single blank page left with studies of different things. These drawings don't have to be good and you don't need to show anyone even, you just need to practice as much as you want until you feel good enough to make comics.
