FUCK MY STUPID POSER LIFE!!

THE MALL NEAR ME THAT ME AND MY FRIENDS GO TO IS SO COOKED IM ALREADY MOURNIGN

so this is the only mall with in like a 2 hour radius of me ok. the other mall shut down and now we have a strip mall which is like fine ig it's ok but like i loved this mall so much, like iconic part of my childhood was going there all the time like 4 backk 2 school shopping right. thewn this company bought it and slowly but surely killed it by driving out the stores one by one via upping the rent repeatedly so they could sell the land it was on. the same stupid poopbutt dogshit company bought the other mall in the area. they're gonna kill the happiest place on earth

THIS FREAKING SUCKS OMLLL !!!! I hate when places where We have memories or We go to so often that it becomes a spot closes, it's so depressing TT TT

There's a mall near me that my folks and I would sometimes go to when I was a kid that shut down in 2019. :(

Luckily there are still lots of other malls closeby (my area seems to be mall central in the US, including both indoor and outdoor ones, even in spite of the few casualties here and there), including the one closest to me that my folks and I would also visit the most often while I was growing up. 

I think I remember hearing something about Google wanting to buy up the building to turn it into their corporate offices before a local university bought it out instead to turn it into a research center (which definitely beats the former alternative at least).

Still, seeing malls across the US close on a near regular basis is most certainly an alarming sign of the ongoing retail apocalypse being driven by monopolies like Amazon and private equity firms buying out and gutting the businesses they get their dirty little hands on.
