Tortilla Pizza - Recipe

Are you craving pizza? Delicious, tangy, mouth-watering pizza? Okay, great. Now question 2: Are you, perchance, too lazy to go outside and buy pizza? Too broke?

If one or more of these questions apply to you, you're in luck. Because I am here to save the day!

Disclaimer: this is NOT satiating whatsoever. If you wanna feel full, either 1) make like 3 of these, or 2) just buy/make an actual pizza lol. Otherwise, this is a great half snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tortilla
  • 2 - 3 tbsp of tomato sauce
  • Lots of mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp of corn/olive oil
  • A dash of black pepper & parsley flakes
-

Directions:

BTW, I used a toaster oven for this so I don't know how this will turn out using an actual oven. Can someone make this with an oven and tell us what happens?

  1. Smack your tortilla onto a plate.
  2. Slather your oil of choice on your tortilla until it's shiny and slippery to the touch. Keep in mind: olive oil burns at a lower temperature than corn oil, so if you want crunchy flatbread, using corn oil. If not? Use olive oil.
  3. Add your black pepper & parsley flakes, or your own spices of choice. It's always fun to mix and match! :)
  4. Put your tortilla in the oven for about 10-20 minutes(300-350ºF), or just wait until the tortilla is swelling up and is browning a little, then take it out and smack it back down onto her plate.
  5. Slather your tomato sauce on your tortilla with a little margin at the edge so it has a makeshift crust.
  6. Put your cheese on the tortilla!!!! Then plop your pizza back into the oven at the same heat. It's gonna take a lot less time for your pizza to be ready because the sauce will heat up very quickly(5-8 minutes).

Now, for the reveal... Your tortilla pizza is ready! Cut it into 4 slices and enjoy your snack. I'd love to see how you guys make and remix this ️ Don't forget to put pictures!

Signing off,
