Do you think that someone will read your works in the future?

Forum: Writing and Poetry

I journal and write some poetry too. But I often think about how I, or someone else, would react to what I'm writing which in turn makes me a little self conscious about what I choose to write and it halts my process. Does anyone else worry about that? Or what's your ways to get over that worry?

People have undoubtedly written crazier things then you have- look at the Marquis de Sade, who wrote such fucked up stories people named the term 'sadism' after him. For the record, people still read what he wrote! It's more important to be authentic then to self-censor.
