Parasite in Love is a 14 chapter manga and has some psychological elements and I definitely recommend it. There is a 10 year age-gap between mc and 'love interest', the love interest is 17 and mc is 27, the creator gave a weird ambiguous explanation about it and was weird overall. If you can't get past the age gap then you probably wouldn't like this manga. It is a 'romance' manga though teetering into darker themes and symbolism, mc and love interest are both infected with parasites, making them have misanthropic phobias. They find each other and the parasites are referred to as "worms in their head." As the manga progresses it implies heavier on that the worm is symbolism for something, which (spoiler!) I believe is passion as in the final chapter of the manga love interests tells mc without the worm she feels she is a husk of herself... weird to be so dependant on a parasite right?
