Walmart now owns our beloved Monroeville Mall and wants to demolish it. This is the filming location of Dawn of the Dead, we have The Living Dead Weekend every summer which attracts fans from around the world which helps the region economically. People not only eat at the mall and local restaurants during this event, but they stay at hotels, fill their cars up with gas, and even shop at stores inside the mall as well as from stores not in the mall. If you have a brain in your head, after watching this documentary and seeing how corrupt this company is, you will boycott Walmart. This documentary is from 2005, but their corruption still lasts. The Monroeville Mall is a booming shopping center, even when it's not Living Dead Weekend. Jobs will be lost, and Monroeville will turn into a metaphorical sewer. Shop at Target, shop at Aldi, get your car worked on somewhere else, but shun Walmart like they're second class citizens.
With Walmart purchasing the Monroeville Mall, there is concern about the mall's future and whether or not it will remain standing. We definitely have enough Walmart's, and there is a Walmart already nearby. Even if the renovation is for housing or office buildings, we still stand by the mall!
