How does everyone feel about the Bayverse?

I'm just curious. I only got into Transformers just over a year ago (I know, late to the game) and I did so by watching the Bayverse movies. Now, at the time, having only ever consumed the films, I thought it was absolutely peak. Then I watched G1, TFP etc and I realised damn, Mr Bay doesn't know shit about the lore. Even Peter Cullen and Frank Welker kind of thought so- Most continuities follow the same basic principles, with changes here and there and some of them all contradict each other.

That being said, the Bayverse films (including Bumblebee and RoTB, though strictly speaking, they're both different continuities too) are good on their own, I think.

The stories and plots are amazing, despite some loopholes. The CGI and animation is truly ground-breaking. I know some people aren't a fan of the designs, but I think as aliens, they are good designs. They're other-worldly and sharp, without the boxy, colourful charm that the cartoons have.

However, not having Frank Welker voice Megatron the first few times was a travesty-

Frankly, I enjoyed the Bayverse movies. Even if I have mixed feelings about the plot holes and how much is or isn't pulled from older, 'classic' lore, I liked the films.

Wondering how everyone else feels about the Bayverse.

i really like the designs for how unique they are, and i also think the cgi is ground-breaking.
