Why is reading the Bible so important?

1. It helps you know God personally

The Bible shows God’s character, love, and plan.
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8

2. It gives guidance and wisdom

Life is confusing, and Scripture provides direction.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105

3. It strengthens you during hard times

Many people read the Bible for comfort, peace, and strength.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

4. It helps you grow spiritually

Just like our bodies need food, our spirits need truth to grow.
“Like newborn babies, desire the pure milk of the word, so that you may grow.” — 1 Peter 2:2

5. It teaches what’s right and protects you from wrong

Scripture corrects, trains, and helps you live wisely.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16

6. It reminds you of hope and God’s promises

The world can feel dark, but the Bible brings hope.
“For I know the plans I have for you… plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11
