I got an eletronic drum kit 3 months ago, I don't drum every day but I try to do it regularly. When I get better at this, I plan to buy a better kit. I'm currently learning Come As You Are by Nirvana to cover with my band. I'm very much still a beginner...

Is there anything you wish you knew when you were a beginner yourself? Are drummers always into bassists? Are there any tips you can give me? Songs you recommend I pick up?

I appreciate any help you can give me C:

i learned drums about a year ago and i would still classify myself as a beginner. it's hard to start because you gotta build up that skill of coordinating each of your limbs. once you got that, it's a lot easier.

so i think what's best is to just look up songs you like on songsterr and learn how to play them. i'd always recommend to do something just a little bitt above your skill level but alot of the time it just makes you frustrated. so be patient and do something that looks doable. i'd say choose something that the main pattern won't take you 5 minutes to nail (a good one is smell like teen spirit). that'll get you used to the patterns and fills to the point you can decently write your own.

good luck bro. i'm not the best person to answer your question as i'm still newer to this, but hope my advice works :))
