PreMoonBlood-1995

True German Black Metal
Moonblood is what happens if you have two amazing musicians make a shit ton of music
but no accessibility to decent production
which makes it even better
⛧⛧⛧⛧⛧⛧
Pre-MoonBlood
In the very start Moonblood was called "BloodBrain" and used to be grindcore but that only lasted 1 year 1989-1990. Bloodbrain only ever made 2 demos. Cadaverous Mutilation (1990) and Satan's Lust (1990)...
⛧⛧⛧⛧⛧⛧
And still pre-moon there was "Purulent Obduction" a doom/death metal band which ended up lasting 3 years 1990-1993. Purulent Obduction made 2 demos and a live recording. Rotting Corpse (1991).. Live in Unterheinsdorf 1991 (1991) and Addictive (1992)...
⛧⛧⛧⛧⛧⛧
The last band before we got the MOONBLOOD we all know and love there was "Demoniac" which is black metal. Demoniac was originally only active for 1 year 1993-1994 BUT Necromaniac (3rd guy not that important on the topic of moonblood) went back to Demoniac and started Demoniac back up in in 2013 and Gaamalzagoth would go on to join Demoniac in 2015 as the bassist and vocalist. Demoniac from 1993-1994 made a bunch of demos 6 whole demos to be exact!! +a VHS of rehearsal in 1993.. Anyways here are all Demoniac releases from 1993-1994 (a lot) Divine Grudge (1993).. Blaspherion (1993).. Black Prophets (1993).. Satanas 666 (1993 VHS).. Reh. I (1994).. Jesus Never Lived (1994) and Demoniac (1994)...
AND FINALLY MOONBLOOD!!!!

MoonBlood was formed in the darkest corners of southeast germany with the soul members being: Occulta Mors who played All instruments and Gaamalzagoth who did vocals

MoonBlood and Rehearsals
Moonblood has recorded many rehearsals you could take it as a demo because it sounds very alike with the moonblood demos but i will say when its a rehearsal and not a demo!!
⛧⛧⛧⛧⛧⛧

Rehearsal 1 - "My Evil Soul" (1994)
The first of many rehearsals Moonblood would make would be titled "My Evil Soul"
My Evil Soul would be released just a few months after Demo 1.. My Evil Soul was released in October 1994.
My Evil Soul was recorded from August-October.. "Recorded during Cold Nights in Aug-Oct. 1994" (Text from the original cassette tape)
This rehearsal tape also has surprisingly good reviews (86% on metal archives) "you can really feel the hatred in Gaamalzagoth's voice. The hissing of a cassette can be heard in the background, but that's to be expected from rehearsal. This may turn some people off, but those who choose to bear through the harsh production will be rewarded with 50 minutes of pure raw black metal." -pinheadlarry (Review from metal archives written in November 27th 2016)
My Evil Soul also has a very good long run time of 50 minutes but this time only 7 tracks with song names such as: When the Werewolf Howls... ...and the Snow Covered the Lifeless Bodies.. Through the Woods of Forgotten Daylight...
My Evil Soul is a feels like the coldest & darkest nights if it was recorded

My Evil Soul Has a good run time aswell as the others of a whole 55 minutes with 9 tracks (including intro and outro) with song names such as: ...and Then I Died.. Infernal Screams in a Dark Night.. Triangle of Infernal Power...
If you can handle bad production then dont hide away from this raw chaotic war!!!

⛧⛧⛧⛧⛧⛧
Demo 2 "Nosferatu"
!!one last 1994 satanic filled hate demo!!

I_am_thy_abyss (review from metal archives written in February 4th 2006)
Nosferatu is the shortest release yet but that doesnt mean its short its still on the longer end with a run time of 40 minutes with 6 tracks with song names such as: In the Moonshine.. A Journey Through the Darkness of Night.. Burn Down the Heavenly Garden...

The original demo of this album only had a run time of JUST 28 minutes which is really short compared to most Moonblood releases but that doesnt mean that this demo isnt filled with power, hate & coldness!!! with its 7 tracks (including intro and outro) that are absolut brutal raw chaos... here are some sick track names from this demo: A Land Where the Sky Is Black..
