GOAT has a bunch of guides for CSS on spacehey, they're well written and are really easy to follow

anyway, the best suggestion i'll give is to pick a premade layout and play around with the settings

which you can do by right clicking ANY section of yr page

choosing "inspect element" or whatever

and you'll see the raw css and values such as color, width, font size etc.

you won't make any changes to your profile that way (it's just editing in browser) but...

you CAN copy/paste stuff directly between yr layout's <style> </style> tags
