I'm currently reading The Art of Living: The Classical Manual on Virtue, Happiness, and Effectiveness by Epictetus, and I'd say it's fairly good so far and gives solid advice! I'm pretty sure what it teaches is stoicism. You can absolutely see the merit with the text but also question some of it's principles at face value. I especially like the structure of the book since it's written like an actual manual with skipping to a new page when a lesson is concluded.
