i see a lot of people speculating about caine's line in episode 2, the "if i lose track of who's an ai and who's a human who knows what could happen"
a lot of people started interpreting this as caine has lost track and mixed up someone who is an ai as a human and one of our main cast is actually an npc but i think that's a misdirect its a red herring
i think the real meaning of this line is that caine has mixed up someone who was a human as an npc and he's talking about HIMSELF caine is a human!!
they show when he gets upset the whole world starts to glitch out in a similar way to humans abstracting.
they keep planting clues about him having some connection to a real world company caine and able and in episode 4 they keep cutting away to him chilling in weirdly realistic looking rooms.
i think caine is a developer who in some way or another got trapped in there and is like kinger but elevated EVEN MORE he does not remember who he is anymore and is fully in this silly ringmaster role
that would kind of ruin the ihnmaims inspo and similar themes but idk it feels like they're building up to something like that
