bisexuals in gay bars?

my bf and i are both bisexual and gnc, we want to go to more drag shows, but we're in a "het-presenting" relationship, and whenever we go to gay bars we get really nasty looks from people, get embarrased, then leave. what are people's thoughts on this? do we need to start wearing our flags and shirts that scream IM ONE OF YOU every time we go?
