hii, feel free to share your usernames here if you'd like!

Mine is BP2004, I joined in April 2022 and was instantly obsessed aha; I began making listen logs to document for each time period from growing up, and now tracking every single release I listen to each year. I've been heavily into learning about dubstep ever since first discovering the genre, and so by July that year I created my first real project list called 'Dubstep: The Early Years', which is the most favourited dubstep list on all of RYM :D

As a huge enthusiast of underground UK bass scenes I've since made a heap more lists to help showcase and highlight certain styles, themes and underrated releases, here my featured lists:

Dubstep: The Early Years | 1994-2006

Dedicated to the history of where the Dubstep genre came about, developing from UK Garage, 2-Step, Jungle, DnB, Nu Skool Breaks, and Dub Reggae as well as inspiration from sister genres, Grime & Breakstep to it's own unique sound with releases from 1994-2006 originating in the UK, more specifically London / Croydon.

• Must-Listen Dubstep, Instrumental Grime, & Tearout Albums

Not nearly enough albums in these scenes get the recognition they deserve; so many producers are so unique to themselves, that even if there's albums you don't like, I'm sure there's at least one out there that will perhaps meet your taste. Some are more club-orientated, while others are more laidback, and almost every side of these genres can have a range of different feels, atmospheres and emotions.
