First post on here, hope people like it.
When I first got into photography, it was because of that liminal space trend from a couple of years ago, if anyone remembers that. I had gotten my hands on a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P51. It's 2 megapixels and I love it. The thing was made back in 2002, and I think that just makes me love it more. A lot of my first photos sucked and barely counted as liminal space photography, but I loved doing it.
Eventually, I was able to just take normal pictures that didn't look like I was the protagonist to some indie horror game about working in a gas station. Today, I still use old cameras from the 2000s, just better ones that look like I'm carrying a brick in my pants. Still, however, I'm glad I took that first step. I guess I kinda owe the backrooms some credit for getting me into one of my favorite hobbies. Feels weird to say that, but it's true and I'm ok with that.

I get that now people are taking photos of everyday items like there Renaissance paintings, but I think more people should take up photography or at least try to pursue their passions.
